Why did I receive a confirmation code?#

player.gg sends a four-character code to confirm that you own the email address used for your account. Entering it continues your player.gg signup. It does not confirm that a studio has accepted you for a playtest.

Your email is verified when the code is accepted and player.gg moves you to the next signup step. Complete the remaining signup steps to finish creating your account.

What if my confirmation code does not arrive or work?#

First, check that the email address is spelled correctly and look in your spam or junk folder. Enter the most recent code exactly as shown in the email.

If the message bounced, never arrived, or the code continues to be rejected, open a support ticket in the player.gg Discord. Include the email address you are trying to verify and a screenshot of the error, but never send your verification code or password.

How do I link or unlink Steam or Discord?#

Open Account settings to connect a Steam or Discord account that is not linked yet.

Changing or unlinking an account is not self-serve yet. Open a support ticket in the player.gg Discord, include the email address associated with your player.gg account, and explain which connection needs to change. We may need to verify ownership before changing a linked account.

When does a playtest open or close?#

The studio running the playtest chooses its schedule. Playtesting now can mean the studio is recruiting or that a test is underway; it does not always mean the game is playable right now. You’re in confirms your place, but access may still remain locked until the announced start time.

Check the game’s Playtest tab, your invitation, and studio messages for exact dates, times, and timezones. If no schedule is provided, contact the studio before making plans. Learn more in Joining playtests.

Does player.gg provide game keys?#

No. player.gg does not choose who receives a key and cannot create, replace, or guarantee one. The studio decides how access is delivered and may make a key or download available through its playtest flow after you are accepted.

If you are missing expected access, contact the studio running the playtest.

When should I contact player.gg or the studio?#

Open a support ticket in the player.gg Discord for:

• Trouble creating or signing in to your player.gg account.
• Email verification problems.
• Linking, unlinking, or changing Steam and Discord connections.
• A broken player.gg page or button.

Contact the studio for:

• Acceptance or waitlist decisions.
• Opening and closing times.
• NDAs, additional signup questions, or Discord access.
• Game keys, downloads, installation, and technical game problems.
• Rewards, including missing or unreceived in-game rewards.
• Playtest instructions and feedback.

Use the contact or support option in the studio’s playtest page, account, invitation, or Discord. If the studio has not provided a contact method, check its messages and the game’s Playtest tab first. player.gg support cannot make playtest decisions or issue access on the studio’s behalf.

Does player.gg pay playtesters?#

No. player.gg does not pay playtesters. A studio may separately offer rewards or other incentives for a playtest, but the studio controls their eligibility and delivery.

Who receives my playtest feedback?#

Feedback requested during a playtest goes to the studio through the form, survey, Discord, or other channel it provides. Send game feedback there, not to player.gg support. Open a player.gg Discord ticket only when your feedback is about player.gg itself.

A studio may share a participation signal back with player.gg, such as whether you played or submitted feedback. This can help build your reputation as a reliable playtester. Recording that you submitted feedback does not make player.gg the destination for the feedback itself.

When is my information shared with a studio?#

Before you continue to a playtest signup, player.gg shows the profile and connected-account information that will be shared. Once you complete signup, the studio has its own account and copy of that information, governed by its privacy policy.

From then on, your application, agreements, playtest activity, and anything you submit through the studio’s flow are handled by the studio. Learn more under Your account and data.

Does deleting player.gg remove all my data?#

Deleting your player.gg account does not remove every copy of your information held elsewhere. Accounts and information already shared with individual studios remain with those studios, and you need to contact each studio to manage or delete them. Deletion severs the connection between player.gg and those studio accounts.

Before deleting, cancel any paid publication subscriptions. After deletion, the same Steam and Discord accounts cannot be used to create another player.gg account for 30 days. Read Delete your account before continuing.
