And How One Indie Game Gets It Right

UP! UP! UP! It's the only thought you can still grasp. You have an infection that started in your foot, now it's in your head. Meet strange neighbours, make bad trades, learn about them. Everytime you fail, the building stays the same. What changes is what you know.
You have only one clear thought left: GO UP.
The building you live in has thirty floors, you never cared for most of them so far.
But now you have to get your body up. But it has it's own needs: hunger, thirst, and an infection to survive.
Your body is about to give up, but your brain won't let it.
This building is not haunted. There are no monsters. There are just people. If you manage to overcome the anxiety of talking to them, you'll find out that they want things.
Snacks, Trash, Favors, Loyalty.
Some of them know more than they should. And maybe what they know has something in common.
You are the one collecting the pieces, penetrating the buildings defense against your journey.
Death is not the end - and everytime you wake up, the building is going to be the same.
Neighbors will treat you the same, discoveries will be the same. The vending machine has the same stock. There is no randomness.
What changes is what you know.
Every try, you will learn something. Don't do the same mistake twice. Like a pathogen, your behaviour will mutate and you will endure and overcome. Maybe you will find out more than you need to know.
MOLDRISE features a full-length original soundtrack, composed by Mike Klubnika, creator of Buckshot Roulette, s.p.l.i.t., and Machine Party.
