The House Dreams Along With Them is a first person puzzle adventure with an emphasis on interactivity and logic. Sleep and dream in the rooms of a mysterious house. Solve the puzzles to make the dreams real and take a step towards the enigmatic reification of night.
The House Dreams Along With Them is a first person puzzle adventure with an emphasis on interactivity: pick up, tap, click, throw, twist, tinker, and intuit puzzle solutions while dreaming in the different rooms of the house. Solving a room inside a dream makes it real in the house.
But each awakened room brings the player one step closer to the enigmatic reification of night.
THDAWT is a game about solving puzzles in a mysterious house. Use your intuition and curiosity to find the secrets in each dream realm. An inquisitive mind that can think logically, abstractly, and meta-narratively and (possibly) a notepad will be all you need to complete the adventure.
Each dream realm has its own logic that does not rely on outside knowledge to complete. E.g. you won't need to know how to interpret semaphore flags or how to find spectrogram images inside audio files in order to succeed. This also means that quick reflexes and manual dexterity aren't needed to solve any puzzles. If you find a way to do a perfect crouching jump to bypass a puzzle - then that's great! But, complicated first person parkour will never be required to progress.
THDAWT is a quiet experience that is punctuated by atmospheric drones, dark ambient soundscapes, and occasionally a burst of trance music in 7/4 time. Two pieces of music in the game's soundtrack are contributed by KIRA, the creator of Lost In Vivo! (Go check out their other games too such as Lunacid and the surreal metagaming nightmare that are the Basilisk games)
