There's a lot that can be said about the series as a whole. It's such a weird thing built on the back of some truly lofty ambitions. Changing publishers, getting new ideas as each game came out, and various other factors caused it to morph and change along the way... And not all of it for the better. But what we have today is just such an incredible space epic. Each game does something better than the other two in the trilogy, carrying over your save was a CRAZY idea, and it's promises of Choices Matter still resonate better than 99% of games out there. It's imperfect on so, so many levels. But what it does right can only be applauded. Play The Legendary Edition if you can to get the full trilogy in a more-or-less streamlined capacity.
