REVIEW – “The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales” is a beautiful take on Zelda that also suffers from the same issues other HD-2D games have

Square Enix’s HD-2D portfolio is full of hits. Starting with Octopath Traveler, the RPG machine has breathed new life into a genre that has enjoyed more than a renaissance as of late. As someone wh…

Games I've rolled credits on in 2026

Saying you've "finished" or "beat" a game these days is a loaded statement. Sometimes it's not even enough to "platinum" a game. So here are the games I've done a version of all that with, including rolling credits in 2026.

Added The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Big Walk and 3 more

“This game rides on a lot of nostalgia for me -- the time-travel, the weapons/spell wheels, and art all felt like returning an idealized version of games I remember playing as a kid, which is perhaps a blessing and curse. While fun to play in the moment, I don't think this'll be a title that sticks with me long-term like so many of the games they've referenced. The combat is fun, but gets repetitive. The story fine, but it lacked character development to get me truly invested. Even the time-travel, while cool, felt under-developed and utilized. A good, but not great, experience.”
