With a supernatural machine that can recreate past events, you've got to figure out the cause of death for a group of people who mysteriously all passed away one evening at Galley House. This game gaslight me in the best of ways: my biggest tip is to trust your notes (and also, take notes!) I appreciate the ways this game supports your efforts through impressive voice acting, art, and quality of life features (like a clear list of the people in the house and if they've been accounted for). A must play for deductive fans of Obra Dinn, Roottrees, and Golden Idol.

I adore Metroidbrainias [...], I'm very pleased to say that The Incident at Galley House is an excellent one, and if Roottrees was your bag, this absolutely will be too.

The Incident at Hill House is all about using your powers of observation -- and a mysterious machine that can recreate past events -- to figure out what caused a tragedy in the 1930s. Blending Guess Who, Clue, and the age-old tradition of taking notes while you play in the BEST of ways, this game had me doubting myself, doubling back to check the tiniest details, and yelling "WHAT?!" at the computer into the wee hours of the morning as I solved this eerie mystery. It did not disappoint!
