About This Game

WaxHeart is an atmospheric puzzle-adventure 3D platformer where you play as a wax boy with a lantern for a heart, journeying through a dark, ruined world in search of his lost memory. Solve puzzles, hide from monsters, and collect oil to fuel your light as you explore and discover the cruel fate of this land, and the role you play in it.

A Rich World Hidden In the Dark

This world has no natural sun, and is populated by candle-people - sentient beings made of wax, with a burning wick on their heads. In the center of the world, towering over a great city, stands a monolith known as the Sun Tower. This vessel and the Radiant Oil within it are the world’s primary source of light and life. Not long ago, the Sun Tower was shattered, and the world was cast into darkness. Soon after, a corrupting ichor substance spread through the candle-people’s

population, transforming them into warped, cannibalistic horrors. Now, a small Wax-Boy wakes from his long sleep. Guided by a dream of a memory, he begins his journey to the broken tower…

You Are the Torch

As you travel towards your destination, the light from your lantern-heart will help you find your way through the darkness, but also alert monsters of your presence. Holding your breath will help you hide, and heating up will reveal new paths.
