    Animal Well excels in all the places a good metroidvania puzzle platformer should. Its novel mechanics make you feel like a genius as you use children’s toys to solve dozens upon dozens of satisfying puzzles. The world is beautiful and invites you to explore every inch of it -in all its 2D pixel art glory. The music and sound design is S-tier in exuding an eery but calm atmosphere. However, where Animal Well truly shines is when you start to peel back the layers of the world, mechanics and presentation to uncover deeper mysteries and ultimately answer the question: Just how deep does this well go?
