Undertale community

I know this game gets a lot of weird side-eyes due to a, shall we say, fervent fanbase. Even I came to it years after it's release, highly skeptical and ready to roll my eyes at every turn. Instead, I was charmed by it's simplistic but clearly thought-out designs. Look, a lot of fans will tell you "You have to play it like this." And if you want me too, I'll tell you what that "optimal" route is so you can save time. We're all busy, I get it. But, I think it's better if you take the game at your own speed, and give it the attention it calmly, politely asks for. You'll be rewarded with an experience that really digs deep into what it is that makes video games, and choices within, matter.

❤ One of the most hopeful and sincere games I've played. It does require you to invest in the journey and truly take a leap of faith into the world and characters, but if you do, I think the ways it encourages and trusts players to try and be kind is truly remarkable. Not to mention, Toby Fox is one of the best composers of our time: this OST is outrageously good!
