Take on the mantle of a Strategeist and grab the levers of power to shepherd your country through good times-- and bad. Your goal is to establish a powerful nation that stands proud and strong amongst the chaos of the world. However, you are not alone; other Strategeists also vie for dominion over the world and there are many among them who would happily see you fail.

Using your catalysts is crucial to your success. Whether you're dealt a Genghis Khan or a Fibonacci, you'll have to think hard how to best employ them to suit your goals.

Conduct diplomacy to ensure your security.

Protect your interests by cultivating allies. Be on the lookout for targets of opportunity, while keeping a watchful eye on rising powers.

Unleash your armies upon your enemies.

Command your units and send them forth into battle. Manage supply and discipline and assign leaders to ensure your armies fight their best. Defeat your enemies, take their land, and expand your empire!

Secure the seas with your navy.

Send your fleets to control the waves! Project force and deny your enemies the ability to do the same. Safeguard your trade routes, while plundering those of your opponents.

Administrate wisely by selecting government policies

Change policies and how your country operates.  But approach this carefully because changing them may anger some of your people.

Keep a wary eye on your institutions

Placate your institutions without giving up too much of your power.  They are always looking after themselves first and the wellbeing of the country is for them a distant concern.

Monitor current national issues

Pay attention to your current political situation-- there is always something going on.  Decide whether you should put your finger on the scales to try to influence the outcome or sit the current problem out.  Either way there will be consequences!
