Greetings, gaming citizens!
My name is Mike and I play video games sometimes.
Hey all, I'm Mike and welcome to my corner of the internet on player.gg! I'm a relatively new games journalist, having written about games for about a year, but I have been showing my love for the medium since 2018 on YouTube. After going to Summer Game Fest Play Days this year, I was in awe of how much good stuff was coming out, so I figured what better way to show my love for the latest and greatest than starting my own outlet here!

So, what can one expect from me on here? Well, let me start off with what types of games you can usually find me playing:
- JRPG's (really RPG's of any kind, but I am a big believer in turn-based)
- Action-Adventure games (tbh so many games can fall under this so it's a good catch-all lol)
- Indie games
- Metroidvanias (I am hopelessly bad at the tough fights in these games but I still love exploring them)
- Roguelikes (I am a lover of pain)
As you can see, I play a variety of games, but I'm also been working on going more outside my comfort zone in recent years, so maybe I'll surprise myself and fellow readers with a preview of something like Phantom Blade 0; who knows!
I hope you'll join me for the ride, as I can't wait to keep sharing this medium I love so much (even if the industry feels like it's on fire 24/7). Games are a foundational part of my life, and I'm looking forward to sharing what may be your next favorite game. In the meantime, while keeping up with my work here, be sure to also subscribe to my YouTube where I talk about the industry! My goal is to encourage productive and engaging conversations, and I'm always open to hearing new voices and thoughts on the ever-changing world around us.
For now, stay vibing and thriving, and I will see you in the next one!
