Hello! I am back from my trip, it was rainy and beautiful. Back to the matter at hand: Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure RPG set in the dark future of Night City — a dangerous megalopolis obsessed with power, glamor, and ceaseless body modification.

Cyberpunk 2077 will probably go down in history as one of the worst launched games that had an equally as impressive bounce back.

I recently bought Cyberpunk for the Nintendo Switch 2 (yeah I know) for two reasons: 1. I wanted to see how the Switch 2 could run heftier titles and 2. It was on sale and brought all of the dlc on the cartridge…which still amazes me, I can also play in bed which is always a plus.

65 hours in and the game has been nothing but smooth sailing. Handheld mode can look a little muddy at times but other than that, I’ve had zero issues. Docked, Cyberpunk runs at a crisp 1080p 30fps (performance mode) and with upscaling it can run at 4K at 30fps (quality mode). Both modes end up looking preem and after testing out the game on my PS5, I’d say that both versions are one to one (all screenshots are taken from the Switch 2).

Anyways we aren’t here to review Cyberpunk on the Switch 2, but I was dying to write about my experience playing it on my Switch because it’s been so much fun. CDPR dropped a bomb on Twitter in the form of surprise patch notes and a huge free update to celebrate the newest season of Edgerunners. The update includes new cosmetics, side missions, a new radio station and the most exciting part…console mod support.

Console mod support in a game as open as Cyberpunk has the same chaotic energy as Skyrim with their console mod support. Now, when I tried to use mods they didn’t exactly work BUT that doesn’t mean it won’t work sometime down the road. I’m personally very excited to see what the creative minds in the Cyberpunk community will come up with.

I can see Cyberpunk being a game that you play longterm. Much like Skyrim, there’s so much to do. The world is rich, the NPCs you meet through side quests are so memorable and with the community in charge of mods, there’s an endless amount of fun to be added into Night City.

Once mods are fully up and running, maybe I’ll make up a list of ones I love.

Here’s a pic of my V with Johnny (photo mode is at least 30 of those 65 hours)
