Astral Chain is the Best Game of 2019
I desperately need a sequel

Astral Chain is a stylish action game that blends fast-paced combat with investigation elements. Players fight alongside a controllable companion called a Legion, using coordinated attacks, restraints, and abilities to overcome enemies and solve environmental challenges. The game mixes high-energy battles with exploration and light detective work, offering varied gameplay and a strong focus on fluid, dual-character combat.
So I know my entire gimmick is talking about games that I grew up playing, but currently Nintendo is holding a 30% off sale on most items including: their games, their accessories, their hardware and amiibos. As I was browsing the deals, I saw that Astral Chain is on sale for $41.99 USD at major retailers. So I’m here to tell you, if you haven’t played Astral Chain…you need to change that immediately.
Astral Chain is a 2019 sci-fi action, hack and slash game developed by PlatinumGames and published Nintendo exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. I remember watching the direct where this game first was featured and knew it was going to be a day one purchase. I clocked in around 32 hours total to beat the story, but I never went back to 100% it. Let me tell you, Astral Chain is phenomenal.
Set in the year 2078, you play as a police officer who joins an elite task force, Neuron, who are in charge of defeating robotic enemies called Chimeras. Using the astral chain, the twins are able to control different Chimeras in order to protect mankind from being wiped out.
The story is amazing. With your typical ‘adoptive father sacrificing himself to save the team and you following in his footsteps’ troupe, you have a real solid action RPG. My favorite thing about Astral Chain is the dual controls. While using the left-stick you control your character and using the right-stick you can control the summoned chimera, and the best part about this system is that you can control both at the same time!
The combat is super smooth and fluid. As the player, you need to be able to master using both your gun and your chimera to create powerful chain attacks and some very satisfying combos. As a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fan, I loved being able to be a stand user.
Listen...I could go on and on about how much I love this game, it's been 7 years since it's release and I haven't moved on, it sold over 1 million copies but I think it should've sold over 1 billion. Hideki Kamiyama blocked me on Twitter because I asked for a sequel but it was worth it (I actually think he blocked me because I was tweeting at him in English)!
With the game on a very affordable price please go out and buy it, you have until Sept. 26 and then it goes back to its original price (still worth btw even at $60). It's an experience to be had.
