Dominator

System 3 Software

Warnings, S.O.S.’s and stories of total planet annihilation had been banded around a terrified solar system for some time but had been conveniently ‘overlooked’ by spineless, so called Leaders. And now it was too late. This was incomprehensible. This was immense! It’s vast appetite was closing in on Earth and the putrid stench of partly digested World’s hung ominously in space, above a society that had refused to believe that it’s very existence would ever again be in question. Who could fight? Who would dare venture inside this mutant horror and battle against it’s bodily defence mechanisms, to obliterate its sustaining organs, to finally put a stop to its crazed, hunger induced stampede across the Universe? Mankind needs you, the Dominator…You need to fight…IT NEEDS TO FEED!

Impossible Mission

Impossible Mission

System 3 Software

Re-imagining of the original 1980s classic Choose from 3 characters New tutorial mode 3 game modes Full games haring on PSP It's hard to believe that it was twenty-five years since the original release. Impossible Mission was the first game to use real synthesized speech, an incredible development when first unleashed on the 8-bit formats. The original game included a random game-map system which ensured that no two games were the same. Although the original still stands the test of time today, inclusion of brand new graphics and sound ensures that Impossible Mission is primed to thrill a brand new audience. The gamer takes the role of a secret agent attempting to stop evil genius Professor Elvin Atombender who has been tampering with National Security Computers. Players must penetrate Atombender's base, attempting to recover parts of the system password whilst avoiding deadly robots in a race against time. Whilst the game has been re-written from the ground up and features new graphics, 3D objects, new Sound Effects and Music, the gameplay remains impressively loyal with the game layout changing for every new game. There are now three main characters to choose from plus a brand new tutorial mode. The player can now chose from three game modes, new, original and for the purist; a hybrid mode with the original gameplay using the updated graphics. The PSP versions offer an unusual feature which allows players to send a full copy of their game to a friend by Wireless so they can try it for themselves.

Putty

Putty

System 3 Software

Putty is a game developed by System 3 and released in 1992 for the Amiga. In Putty, the player controls a blue blob with eyes. Putty has many moves that he could use to attack enemies or to navigate around the level. These abilities include being able to stretch out upwards, downwards, left and right to access far-off ledges. He also has the ability to inflate. This allows him to provide a cushioned landing for any falling bots. Over-inflation also acts as a "smart bomb", with Putty bursting, killing all of the enemies on the screen, whilst reducing his health in the process. The levels in Putty are laid out vertically, with the screen scrolling up and down. The levels contain regular platforms, as well as "solid" ledges that Putty can not move through, and other special tiles including electric platforms and bounce pads.

Turbo Charge

System 3 Software, Kixx

The intro shows us Iraqi terrorists breaking into an U.N. military camp escaping with the stockpile. Now it's the turn of the British agents Agaippa and Dausus to catch the terrorists and secure the stockpile. This is a classical "Drive & Shoot" game. You are controlling a red sports car, driving down a narrow road, shooting every car on the road while trying to avoid the enemy's gunfire and various obstacles on the road (The story tells us, it's a chase through hazardous countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Thailand, South Africa and more). The difficulty increases from stage to stage. While in the first stages there is almost no hostile activity almost all cars will start shooting you on sight later in the game. Even worse, there are helicopters and jets going to attack you too. Various obstacles on the road will make it harder to keep the upper hand on the street. These obstacles range from cones, to mines and even rather large rocks. Finally there are various intersections where always one will lead into a dead end, causing your car to crash.

A.S.P.: Air Strike Patrol

A.S.P.: Air Strike Patrol

Opus, SETA, System 3 Software

Playing as a jet pilot of the "Coalition" force, players take control of either an F-15 Eagle, or an A-10 Tankbuster jet. The mission is to neutralise the offensive forces of the Zarak army, who have recently invaded a smaller neighbouring country. The Zarak army has many ground units, including tanks, stinger-missile launchers, SCUD missiles and armored vehicles. To accomplish the ultimate goal of defeating the Zarak army, players venture out on numerous missions (called "sorties") that have varied and specific objectives. Typically, various installations such as radar sites, air bases or ground units are the target. Other missions include disabling an oil-pipeline and destroying SCUD launchers before they fire. Pre-mission screens ask the player to select from the two planes. Then, the player can specify the armament to carry into the sortie. Air-to-ground and air-to-air missiles are available for each of the planes. Here, a strategic choice between countering either air units or ground units has to be made, as each area (of which there are eight) is patrolled by opposing enemy F-15 jets.
