19-03 Ueno Hatsu Yakou Ressha is a third person adventure game that tells the story of Tsupei Akai a freelance photographer or of Miyuki Hatakeyama a middle school teacher. Both of them take the night train that goes from Toyo's Ueno to Sapporo but what started as a normal train travel soon will start to be a little more complicated since they will be involved into murders, assassins and other dangerous situations. The player can choose at the beginning of the game which story he wants to play and the situations and reactions of each character are different, so there is 2 adventures in the same game. The game is played in a first person perspective and is like an interactive movie and depending of the player choices his character will or not survive the travel. There are different endings and different death scenes.

Daiobake Yashiki: Hamamura Jun no Jitsuwa Kaidan is a visual novel game released on Playstation in 1998. The story proceeds as a visual novel, in which the main character is told ghost stories or reads some books. In the main character's action part, you have two choices in conversation with other characters, and the ghost story you hear changes depending on which one you choose. The character's likability depends on the choice. If the character's likability is low, the story is forced to end halfway through. The ghost stories are told in full voice and read in the text; there are no options in the middle of either. Once you've heard a ghost story, you can play it back in the "Jitsuwa Kaidan-shuu" mode. The graphics are live-action and CG.

Kyoto Maiko Monogatari is a simulation game in which the player controls a young girl that begins her training to become a maiko, the game features music mini games (like copy the movements of the trainer in a drum), and different levels of training that only can be reached when the girl pass the previous ones. During the game there are video sequences to show different things about maiko way of life and the player can also interact with different trainers. The game features 2D graphics, first person perspective & japanese voice acting in the video sequences. Maiko is a Japanese word for 'dancing girl' and is an apprentice geisha. A geisha is a traditional, female Japanese entertainer, whose skills include performing various Japanese arts, such as classical music and dance. It is the maiko, with her white make-up and elaborate kimono and hairstyle, that has become the stereotype of a "geisha" to westerners, rather than the true geisha. A woman entering the geisha community does not have to start out as a maiko, having the opportunity to begin her career as a full geisha. In fact, a woman above 21 is considered too old to be a maiko and becomes a full geisha upon her initiation into the geisha community. However, those who do go through the maiko stage enjoy more prestige later in their professional lives.
