Barbarian

Barbarian

Psygnosis, Melbourne House, Mastertronic

Welcome to the world of Barbarian. In this world you control our hero "Hegor". Once the game has started you will see him standing in the marsh. Using the mouse, jouystick or keyboard (or all three simultaneously) you issue commands that control his actions. Thus enabling you to explore the world of Durgan. You should always remember that Barbarian features context sensitive animation which allows the same commands to do different things depending on the situation Hegor is involved in. In order to complete the game you must locate and destroy the crystal which is the source of the evil power of Necron. Once the crystal has been destroyed the volcano in which Durgan is located will start to erupt making it imperative that you reach the surface again before it blows.

Stryx

Stryx

Psygnosis, Psyclapse

You're really up against it this time. Those revolting robots have finally upped and turned their horribly powerful weapons on their kind human masters. Someone's got to stop them before it all gets out of hand. I mean, you just can't have bloodthirsty Cyborg assassins roaming the streets of Dome City and expect the citizens to put up with it. Who on Earth is going to sort out the mess? You guessed- you get the job. Fortunately, you are just a little bit on the special side. You are Stryx, the product of Project Alpha Secure, the meanest fighting, smartest thinking machine ever invented. Half-man, half-robot, you are the business, the only one who can stop those wicked Cyborgs. You'll have to work hard, though, blasting hordes of the revolting creatures (such a sad waste of scrap metal) and rescuing the keys to the Lifeforce. So, Stryx, you'd better get your jet pack on for some high level robot stomping through the immensely complex underground world of the Dome cities. It's a tough assignment, and time is running out.

Lemmings Paintball

Lemmings Paintball

Visual Science, Psygnosis

Unlike most of the other Lemmings games, it does not use a side-scrolling perspective but instead an isometric view of the levels. The gameplay is also very different from other Lemmings games, focusing on splattering enemies with paint from a gun. The levels contain various puzzles including moving platforms, lemming catapults, and trampolines. Objects available in the game include: Duplicator: Can be used to create additional lemmings up to the maximum amount of four. Can also replace lemmings killed in action. Switch: Can be used to open and close gates, lower platforms and so on. Gate: Gates block certain areas in a level. They can be opened using a switch or key. Keys can be found in exploding crates. Exploding crate: Contain a key or a catapult. Balloon: Can be used to transport a lemming through the air from one specific location to another.

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Bram Stoker's Dracula

Psygnosis

Bram Stoker's Dracula is game loosely based on the 1992 film of the same name. It was released simultaneously for multiple consoles and while the plot remains largely the same, there are differing styles of gameplay and graphics across platforms. The Amiga version is a side-scrolling action game. It uses digitized graphics for characters that were recycled from the Sega CD game however the setup is quite different. In this version there are nine stages in the game to play through. Each stage has a primary task that involves finding and destroying all the coffins that have Transylvanian earth inside, in order to advance in the game, but the last coffin to be destroyed is guarded by one of Dracula's stronger minions, in each stage.
