The Last of Us Part II is an action-adventure game set five years after the events of The Last of Us. The player traverses post-apocalyptic environments such as buildings and forests to advance the story. They can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. The game intermittently switches control between Ellie and Abby, and also briefly Joel in the opening sequence. The nimble nature of the player character introduces platforming elements, allowing the player to jump and climb to traverse environments and gain advantages during combat.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a single-player action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, and a standalone expansion in the Uncharted series. Players guide treasure hunter Chloe Frazer through towns, ruins, and temples across the Western Ghats of India, using firearms, melee combat, and stealth against hostile forces. Gameplay combines gunfights, climbing and platforming, environmental puzzles, and vehicle sections across larger, more open environments than earlier entries. It also grants access to the multiplayer component of Uncharted 4.

This update adds a new cooperative and solo mode 'Survival' that will put your skills to the test as you take on 50 increasingly challenging waves, featuring unique objective scenarios, swarms of powerful enemies, and intense boss battles. Alongside Survival, there's King of the Hill – an all new addition to the Beta Test Playlist. Capture the hill and defend it for as long as you can. Defending team doesn’t respawn until the hill is taken by the enemy team or you and your teammates are wiped out! Other updates include new maps, weapons, skins and balance changes among other things.

Two new characters are being introduced for the 'No Return' mode – The Last of Us Part I’s Bill and Marlene. Like with each No Return combatant, these characters offer their own unique playstyles, and should offer both new and returning fans an exciting new opportunity to test their mettle. Bill is a “Smuggler” playstyle who can access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops, and receives double rewards from drops as well. He’s stronger against melee attacks but can’t dodge. Marlene, meanwhile, features a “Risk Taker” playstyle that includes a Custom Assault Rifle, “All or Nothing” gambits, can reroute her No Return path once per run, and more. Four new maps have also been added to No Return. Overlook, which is set high above the city of Seattle and features plenty of verticality, is the memorable site of a Seraphites encounter in the campaign. School is, during the campaign, the abandoned elementary school in which Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F. Streets is set in the overgrown Seattle neighborhood of Hillcrest, while Nest will be familiar to players who have played as Abby through an Infected-infested building. Other than bugfixes, a new cosmetic from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has been added for Ellie.

In this "Chronological Experience" update, new trophies, character skins, and a "Chronological" mode has been added. We believe players will gain even deeper insight into Part II’s narrative. Players will be able to see how Ellie being gifted a guitar flows so neatly into her learning to play, for example, while the journey through Seattle will showcase the fascinating parallels between Ellie and Abby’s crisscrossing journeys. You’ll see just how close they come into running into each other, how their actions impact each other, and more.
