Dancing Stage Unleashed 2 now features a wider range of Xbox Live modes. Via the online system, players can download new tracks, characters and challenge modes, and can also swap specially choreographed dance routines with like-minded fans. There is also an all-new 'Tournament' function wherein up to 8/16 users can participate in online 'dance-offs', with the greatest movers making it to a centrally housed Hall of Fame. Also, players can now play against dancing fans in the US, as well as their European counterparts. Dancing Stage Unleashed 2 includes more than three dozen songs, of which 14 are licensed tracks, each of which is accompanied by its relevant promo video. The tracks in the new game span a range of decades and include 'Where's your head at' by Basement Jaxx and Girls Aloud's 'Love Machine' to cater for pop fans, while the likes of the classic 'Step On' by the Happy Mondays and 'Alright' by Supergrass offer a slice of the indie scene. A couple of true dance classics are also included in the shape of Donna Summer's 'Hot Stuff' and 'A Town Called Malice' by The Jam.

beatmania III is a rhythm game developed by Konami. It is the first game in the beatmania III series, a spin-off of the beatmania series. It is part of the BEMANI franchise. The game is played with a controller with one turn table, one foot pedal and 5 keys, three white and two black. On the screen you will see bars moving from the top to bottom in columns representing each of the keys, foot pedal and the turntable. When the bars reach the judgement line it is time to scratch. This game starts the beatmania III spinoff series, which introduces the foot pedal into the game, which has separate notes tied to it. The foot pedal can also be configured to act as one of the 5 regular keys as well. Since the series features upgraded hardware in comparison to the main series, the game has more fluid movies and animation and the interface is generally more colorful. The effector table is also expanded. The cabinet has a floppy disk slot on which you can save scores, unlocked songs and game modes. A headphone jack is also included. This is the only game in the series with brand new songs, the rest of the games were released as "APPEND" games, pulling in songs from their beatmania counterpart. The game has 87 songs pulled from beatmania - beatmania 5thMIX and 23 brand new songs, for a total of 110 songs.

The foot pedal lane has been moved to the rightmost lane (previously it was the leftmost). The difficulty range has been expanded to 1 - 9.Goods do no longer break combo. The gameplay frame COUNTER has been added. As the name entails, the game focuses on bringing over the songs from beatmania Core Remix, all 25 new songs from that version is added. Additionally 3 new songs from beatmania IIDX 3rd style was included, 10 songs from beatmania completeMIX 2 and 7 songs from beatmania ClubMIX. 13 songs got a new "remixed" ANOTHER chart. 111 old songs return from beatmania III. The total number of songs is 169.

As with its beatmania conterpart, the SEPARATE playframe was added, giving black keys their own lane. Game modifiers can be accessed from the song selection screen. As the name entails, the game focuses on bringing over the songs from beatmania 6thMIX, all 27 new songs from that version were added. Additionally 3 LONG versions of songs was added. 159 old songs return from the previous entry. The total number of songs is 189.

As with the other APPEND titles, the songlist is mainly focused on brining over songs from beatmania 7thMIX. 32 songs were brought over and 6 song got LONG versions. 188 songs return from the previous entry in the series. The song list has a total of 225 songs.
