The Protector Trials is the third DLC for BioShock 2 and the first to expand the singleplayer mode. As a mainline update It contains an exhaustive list of quality of live changes to the game. The main new content is the 53rd Warframe, Kullervo, and his signature weapons along with the chance to encounter his story missions on a new island in Duviri. Other Duviri changes include Captain Vor's appearance in Undercroft challenge missions for a chance at new arcanes, Kaithe customization with armor and ephemera, 2 new side missions with Paragrimm's Tomes and Lost Belongings objectives, the return of Kaithe races and 15 new decrees.

These additions replace Nidus Prime, Strun Prime and Magnus Prime which have now been added to the Prime Vault. Other additions include a new drifter melee weapon Argo & Viel, new Undercroft tiles with a Jackal assassination mission, 5 new Incarnon weapons, 4 new Warframe augment mods, 4 new Duviri decrees, and a Duviri dojo room that allows you to free roam on the Harbinger’s Pass and Courtier’s Bliss islands.

Abyss of Dagath adds the quest for the 54th Warframe, Dagath, in a new Naberus-inspired story from the Entrati Grandmother. Dagath’s appearance and kit bear some resemblance to a certain equine companion you may have met in Duviri — and comes with a brand-new blade and whip melee weapon. This update has some big changes that aim to improve the broader gameplay experience, including a major overhaul of companions and a rework for the aquatic swashbuckler, Hydroid! Other planned changes include Auto-melee, a focus acquisition rework and the removal of flawed mods and MK-1 Weapons. More information about Dagath and the full update will be revealed in the September Devstream ahead of Abyss of Dagath's release this October!
