Marvel's WolverineA favorite! For accessibility, I give Marvel’s Wolverine a 9 out of 10. The missing point reflects the bugs and inconsistent moments, but the overall achievement is extraordinary. Insomniac gave me the tools and confidence to complete a game on its highest difficulty for the first time. More importantly, it made me feel like a total badass Wolverine while doing it.Read the full review →Going in Blind: How I Beat Marvel’s Wolverine on the Highest Difficulty as a disabled gamer.
Resonance: A Plague Tale LegacyReally enjoyed itFor accessibility, I give RESONANCE: A Plague Tale Legacy a 7/10. It loses points for limited accessibility for blind players, but the features that are present do a decent job. Most importantly, its colour adjustment system demonstrates a genuinely useful approach that more games should consider.Read the full review →Going in Blind: RESONANCE A Plague Tale Legacy’s Accessibility Feature Is Something I Have Never Seen Before
STAR WARS Zero Company™DisappointedStar Wars Zero Company is a really fun game with an intriguing story and enjoyable tactical gameplay. Its Star Wars setting makes the XCOM-like formula more inviting, and I want to continue playing to see how the story and strategy develop. Unfortunately, I cannot fully recommend it for disabled players. Bit Reactor did try, but there are unfortunately too many missing features. For players who are new to the XCOM genre, Star Wars Zero Company could be a great place to begin. For many disabled players, however, the limited accessibility may prevent them from joining the company.+Engaging story+Satisfying gameplay−Poor UIRead the full review →Going in Blind: Star Wars Zero Company Could Be an XCOM Gateway, but Not for Everyone
Mortal Shell IIDisappointedThere are some interesting ideas in Mortal Shell 2. I really like the second chance mechanic, and I think it adds a smart layer of approachability to the Soulslike formula. It gives players a bit more room to learn and recover without removing the challenge. But from an accessibility standpoint, the game needs more work. There’s potential here. With a little more accessibility support, Mortal Shell 2 could be much more playable for disabled players while still keeping the challenge that Soulslike fans enjoy.+Creative concept+Engaging story+Satisfying combat−Poor UIRead the full review →Going in Blind: Mortal Shell 2 has one GREAT Accessibility idea
